Yes that’s right, starting tomorrow, Wednesday Feb 18, and continuing every Wednesday, Ariadne will be holding a BYOB! Bring Your Own Baby, Bump or Boobie. From 11:30, feel free to bring your child, baby, toddler, kid or unborn child for some mom and knitting fun. Don’t have a kid, but don’t mind spit up? Come on down! It will be fun!

Hey all, its Mary here. I’m back in the store from time to time with my little one strapped to myself. While I was away, Molly Ann did a fantastic job not only holding down the fort, but also ordering some great yarns and fibre for the store. So, I thought, while I was here, I would talk about a different new yarn that has made it in while I was changing diapers and sporting spit up everywhere. The first one I have decided to talk about is named, appropriately, Family.

Family by Muench Yarns

Family is our Second Acrylic Blend we have acquired here at the store in the year we have been open. It is 75% acrylic microfibre and 25% nylon. We consider it a great baby yarn, (for those who don’t want to hand wash our children’s garments, and honestly, I now understand why superwash is so welcome with a new baby!) as well as a perfect washable worsted weight yarn for  any project. We are carrying 15 colours and it sells for $5.00 /  ball. Come on down and check it out sometime for your next blanket project, or even just a wee small hat.

Ariadne is pleased to announce that we will be holding our ever-popular Valentines Day Massacre next weekend! Last year was such a success (and great fun) we thought we would do it all over again.

This year we are starting early for a Friday the 13% off discount! 13% off everything in the store (except for books and sale items unfortunately).

Saturday join us for knitting, coffee, bagels food and fun. Stick around past 18h for booze food, fun merriment and live music (we promise music this time for real).

Sunday bring your hangover and learn about all things fibre, complete with hand, and wheel spinning, and fiber prep demos.

We will again have the Stick Your Hand in the Sock for more discount-y fun (complete with a few new surprises) and other little silly things as we think of them!
