    Knit to Quit

    January 17th, 2008 by M.A.

    Well who knew.

I was having a little wander around the internet when I uncovered a phenomena that I didn’t know about.

It all started for me with this news story.  Never having been a smoker myself, it had never occurred to me that one could use knitting as an aid to quitting smoking.

But apparently I’ve been living under a rock.  In fact, the UK goverment’s website links to this article to inspire you to set up your own group of like-minded crafsters.

Unfortunately, not all governments are so open-minded.  Check out this attempted legislation in India (scroll down to the bottom of the page if you aren’t taken there directly).

And last, if you wish to render a tribute to Ol’ Smoky, click on the pic below (site possibly NSFW).
