Is this thing on?

Testing, testing, one two. One two.
Hi. We suck. We appologize for said suckiness.
Things have been busy chez nous for the last while. Henry is fully mobile, my new cat has settled right in and we have been busy selling yarn and vacuuming up all the rocks and salt graciously donated by the city of Montreal. There are new shelves and new yarns and plenty of tea.
There has been some drama, some excitement, and some moments of despair, but all in all things are good over here. I, for one, couldn’t ask for a better job.
At last night’s knit night, I was going through some of the Things I Knit and Vintage Horror posts. It made me nostalgic enough to think that I should write some more.
So I will.
In the meantime, here are two pictures from 1918 of injured soldiers knitting. If you like vintage photography (or want to see these full size), check out Shorpy.

Nice to hear from you! Glad everything is good up there, even if it is crazy.
I’m coming up your way at the end of February to see Wilco at the Olympia. If I can convince the bf to go to a yarn store I’ll swing by.

I’ve had sock-knitting machines on the brain lately … thanks for sharing!
