Ever been interested in lace but didn't know where to begin? This class aims to initiate beginning knitters to the basics of lace. The project is Anne Hansen's Rivolo scarflette. The first course will introduce the techniques required to complete the project and basic lace structure. We will cast on the project together and learn to read basic instructions and charts. The second course will be to answer any questions, check progress and cover any lace topics that have come to mind. The goal for the final course is to block out our finished projects together and watch the lace bloom.
This class includes the pattern but does not provide materials. You must purchase your materials in-store before the class starts (you will receive a 10% class discount). If you have the correct needles in your stash, feel free to bring them. At the time of registration, you will be charged the full amount plus applicable taxes. If you cancel 7 days or more before the beginning of class, you will be refunded the full amount. Due to the limited sizes of the classes, cancellations made less than 7 days before the start of a class session cannot be refunded.
pre-req's: knit, purl, read an english pattern, cast on, bind off note: there will be a "0 hour" yarn selection tips and advice session before the first class, and a one hour emergency clinic scheduled between the end of class and the "block party".
