(ar-e-add-nee) would be the phonetic spelling of Our Greek Goddess.
I want to download a PDF pattern, but am unsure what to do with the shipping. Please advise.
No problem.
If you are downloading only simply choose the DOWNLOAD ONLY option inside the shipping table of your region. Done! You will receive a link via email for a secure download of your pattern. You can cast on right away.
If you are purchasing goods as well as downloading, you must choose either a shipping option or pick up (on the island of Montreal only). If you are puchasing goods as well as downloading, or just purchasing goods, and you choose download only, you will receive a friendly email from us with a money request from paypal for the balance of the shipping for your order. You will not receive your items until we have received your money for shipping via paypal.
How does this pick up scheme work?
Ariadne understands that if we were an actual store, you all would be able to get your purchases when you liked. Since we don't have a store (yet), we still want to give our local customers the ability to pretend that we
are a physical store. THIS SERVICE IS INTENDED FOR LOCAL CUSTOMERS ON THE ISLAND OF MONTREAL ONLY, OR FOR PEOPLE WHO COME TO THE ISLAND OF MONTREAL ON A REGULAR BASIS.
When you make a purchase, and designate PICKUP as your shipping choice, you will be charged a $2.00 handling fee, just so you know. Then, we will send you an email informing you that we know you are interested in a pick up. We will send you a schedule of available pick up times for the next two weeks. You confirm a date and time, and we show up! Its that easy! (Typically we will have 2-3 options per week for pick ups.) If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to
drop us a line, and we'll answer any question or concern you have about our pick up process!
I live on the South Shore/North Shore (of Montreal) or the Eastern Townships (of Quebec). Will you have a pick up serivce there?
At some point, we may have a pick up outside of the island. Unfortunately at the moment we will not have a pick up on the South Shore/North Shore or Townships. If you do find yourself on the Montreal island,
contact us, and we will most likely be able to set something up.
I RSVPd for a pickup date, but couldn't make it. How do I get my goods?
No worries. Just
email us, and we will send you another schedule for the next round of pick ups. We will hold your purchase for 30 days without contact from you. After 30 days we will ship the purchase at the buyers expense, plus an extra handling fee. Tough love? Maybe. But it's just because we care.
How does your shipping work?
All orders are shipped via Canada Post. In stock items are shipped within 3 business days upon receipt of order. You will be notified by e-mail if an ordered item is currently out of stock. You will be allerted by e-mail when your package is shipped.
Where exactly do you ship to?
Currently, we ship to all of Canada, the United States, the European Continent and the UK (including Ireland). If you live anywhere else, just send us an
email, and we'll happily send you a quote for shipping.
Your shipping tables changed. What's up?
We have recently changed to a slightly more complex shipping table, but it should be easy to understand. If you are requesting a pickup, the pick up option is
inside the Quebec table. When you select Quebec, you will then have options for shipping or pick up.
We have also made downloadable pdfs available for purchase, and we wanted to make sure we could remove the $2.00 handling fee when you purchased them. If you are downloading only, please use the Download Only option under your correct shipping table. If you are purchasing goods and you select download only, you will receive a friendly email from us with a money request from paypal for the balance of the shipping for your order. You will not receive your items until we have received your money for shipping via paypal.
I got my yarn, but i'm so not into that project anymore. How does your return policy work?
We understand that the mind changes at its own whim, and that sometimes a little yarn must be returned.
Patterns and knitting needles are non-returnable. Yarn returns and exchanges must be done within 30 days of the initial purchase date. Yarn must be in its original, unused condition, or it will not be accepted. All returns are subject to approval by Ariadne. When returning items, the customer is solely responsible for all, if any, shipping costs.
How can i place an order?
Ariadne currently accepts orders via the www.ariadneknits.com website only. This policy may change in the future. Occasionally you will find Ariadne at knitting meeting around town and the Provence. If that occurs, you will be able to place an order at any kind of demonstration, or trunk show going on. We will be sending out updated information about any of our future outings! Yes. Versions of Internet Explorer before 7.0 don't render all kinds of semi-transparent images properly. We have added a script to remind Internet Explorer are see through. So, don't worry, fageddabahtit!
